Known for being the home of J.B. Hunt, Lowell is well positioned along I-49 in the center of Northwest Arkansas. Lowell has a population of 7,940 and was first settled in the 1840s before being destroyed in the Civil War. It was reestablished in the 1880s when the St. Louis-San Francisco railroad came to town.
